With increased competition on the swedish market and a need to find trained staff, more swedish companies are locating offices abroad. India is one of the most profiled countries in the world for offering services in this way. Knowing how the other country's process works can facilitate cross-border cooperation. The aim of this study is to compare how the road design process works in Sweden compared to India. How rules and authorities control the process in the respective countries and how the work methodology differs between the organizations. In order to provide a better understanding of the similarities and differences that exist between the processes in the different countries.

Med en ökad konkurrens på den svenska marknaden och ett behov av att hitta mer utbildad personal förlägger allt fler svenska företag kontor utomlands. Indien är ett av de länder som profilerat sig mest i världen för att erbjuda tjänster på detta sätt. Att då känna till hur det andra landets process går till kan underlätta samarbetet över gränserna. Målet med denna undersökning är att jämföra hur projekteringsprocessen av vägar går till i Sverige jämfört med Indien, vilka regler och myndigheter som styr processen i de respektive länderna samt hur arbetsmetodiken skiljer sig åt mellan organisationerna. Detta i syfte att ge en ökad förståelse för de likheter och skillnader som finns mellan processerna i de olika länderna.
