Bakgrund: Bröstcancer är den vanligaste formen av cancer som drabbar kvinnor globalt. I takt med att befolkningen i världen ökar, växer även behovet av vård vid bröstcancer. I tidigare forskning beskrivs en individanpassad vård som är betydelsefull för kvinnorna, vilket ställer krav på sjuksköterskan att tillämpa i varje möte. Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka kvinnor med bröstcancer och deras upplevelse av mötet med sjuksköterskan. Metod: En kvalitativ litteraturöversikt med induktiv ansats, där resultat från 13 artiklar sammanställts. Databaserna MEDLINE och CINAHL användes. Resultat: Två teman och sex subteman framställdes. Resultatet innefattar sjuksköterskans förmåga att möta kvinnorna med värdighet och respekt ökade kvinnornas uppfattning av en stödjande och kompetent sjuksköterska. Kompetens ökade kvinnornas känsla av tillit gentemot sjuksköterskan. Stödet från sjuksköterskan minskade känslan av oro och ensamhet hos kvinnorna. En känsla av delaktighet främjade känslan av hopp och hanterbarhet. Slutsats: Bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnors upplevelse av mötet med sjuksköterskan är individuellt och något som ställer krav på att sjuksköterskan möter kvinnorna på en individanpassad nivå. Detta skapar möjligheter för kvinnorna att känna stöd, bekräftelse och att kunna hantera sin sjukdom. Utifrån de bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnornas erfarenheter av mötet skapas möjlighet att utveckla sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsarbete. 

Background: Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer that affect women global. As the world’s population increases, so does the need for breast cancer care. In previous research, individualized care is described as important for the women, which requires the nurse to apply in each encounter. Aim: The aim was to study females with breast cancer and their experience of the encounter with the nurse. Method: A qualitative literature review with an inductive approach , where findings from 13 artichles were complied. The databases  MEDLINE and CINAHL was used. Results: Two themes and six subthemes were presented. The result includes the nurse’s ability to meet the women with dignity and respect increased the women’s perception of a supportive and competent nurse. Competence increased the women’s feelings of trust towards the nurse. The support from the nurse decreased women's feeling of anxiety and loneliness. The feeling of participation increased the feeling of hope and manageability. Conclusion: Breast cancer-affected women´s experiences of the encounter with the nurse is individual and something that requires the nurse to meet the women at an individualizer level. This creates opportunities for woman to feel support, confirmation and to be able to manage their illness. Based on the women with breast cancer's experiences of the encounter, an opportunity is created to develop the nurse's nursing work.
