The constant increase in economic activities and human activities are the underlying main causes of CO2 emissions at global scale. The purpose of this thesis is to provide empirical evidence on whether green investment and eco-innovation limits CO2 emissions in the EU. A panel data analysis is conducted for the years 2013 to 2019, utilising a pooled OLS model. The empirical findings do not validate the negative relationship of green investment and eco-innovation with CO2 emissions growth in the EU due to insignificant results, further research will be necessary.
