This is a qualitative study that is based on interviews with school counsellors and school nurses. The aim of this study is to look into what creates a good environment for LGBTQI-students as well as what challenges hinders the work. By using a thematic analysis, three themes were created. The first theme is Response to LGBTQI-related Symbols and Subjects, and it is about reactions from pupils and professionals regarding LGBTQI. The theme describes the positive and the negative response against LGBTQI-symbols, but also the possibility to create a discussion that was made possible by the negative response. The second theme is Safe Grownups, which is about grownups in school and the role they have when working with LGBTQI in schools. The last theme is Professional Cooperation that is about cooperation both within schools, with other professions, and outside of schools, for example with organisations like UMO. 

Det här är en kvalitativ undersökning baserad på intervjuer med kuratorer och skolsköterskor. Undersökningen fokuserar på arbetet med HBTQI-frågor inom gymnasieskolor. Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på vad som skapar en god miljö för HBTQI-elever på gymnasieskolor och utmaningar i detta arbete. Genom en tematisk analys undersöks tre olika teman. Det första temat är Respons på HBTQI-relaterade symboler och ämnen och handlar om de reaktioner som kommer ifrån elever och personal gällande HBTQI-frågor. Både positiv och negativ respons mot HBTQI-symboler tas upp och hur respons kan bemötas. Det andra temat är Trygga vuxna och handlar om betydelsen av vuxna personer på skolan och vilken roll dessa vuxna har i arbetet med HBTQI-frågor. Det sista temat är Professionell samverkan och under detta tema beskrivs hur samverkan inom och utanför skolan gör det möjligt att ge eleverna det stöd som de behöver.
