Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to explore the relevancy that the inclusion of exogenous variables has on forecasting accuracy quality of premium domestic appliance sales. To uphold this purpose, the study found 8 exogenous variables based on a literature review to correlationanalyse against premium domestic appliance sales data. Through the correlation analysis and 3 semi-structured interviews with industry professionals, the relevancy each of the 8 exogenous variables holds towards premium domestic appliance sales was identified. The findings showthat the unemployment rate had the highest correlation but was ultimately deemed irrelevantdue to weak internal validity. The remaining 7 exogenous variables found relevance towards premium domestic appliance sales in one form or another. The study concludes that 7 exogenous variables show relevancy or promise for relevancy towards premium domestic appliance sales. More research on these exogenous variables should be conducted to strengthen this study's arguments and findings.
