In line with increasing conflicts and war around the world, migration increases rapidly and therefore, the importance of a well-functioning integration thus becomes a current and important topic to examine. Through semi-structured interviews, we intend to investigate Syrian female immigrants' experiences of integration in the Swedish labor market, with a focus on experiences of challenges and factors that led to success. To give a deeper insight into what is observed, the results are analyzed based on Diaz's integration model with a focus on social and structural aspects of integration. The results show, among other things, that language learning is an important factor for sustainable integration. It appears that language learning not only facilitates communication and understanding between immigrants and the local population, but also increases access to the labor market and other community resources. Education in the host country is found to be a central component of integration, as it not only provides knowledge and skills relevant in the labor market, but also creates opportunities for social interaction and networking. Social networks, both within immigrant groups and between immigrants and natives, are proven to be crucial for integration.
