Testautomatisering av mjukvara i en cross-development-miljö : Utvärdering av Patrol och Appiums effektivitet (Swedish)
Abstract [en]
This study examines the effectiveness of two software testing frameworks, Patrol andAppium, for automating software testing in cross-platform mobile app development, witha focus on Flutter applications. The study assesses their capabilities in handling thecomplexities of mobile app testing, particularly in scenarios involving localization, crossplatform compatibility, integration with hardware components and Bluetoothcommunication. By understanding the features and challenges associated with Patrol andAppium, the study aims to provide valuable insights for software teams seeking tooptimize their software testing processes. The research highlights the practicalimplications of choosing the proper testing framework and offers actionablerecommendations for improving testing efficiency and reliability in Flutter developmentprojects. Overall, this study contributes to the broader discourse on software engineeringmethodologies, offering practical guidance for developers, project managers, andorganizations navigating the challenges of cross-platform mobile app development.
