Abstract [en]

This report presents the process of redesigning a forestry machine cab interior, with a focuson improving comfort, storage capacity and aesthetics. Multiple design and developmentmethods were conducted throughout the product development process of designing the newinterior. These are presented in this report by using the phases of the “double diamondprocess” framework. A full-scale prototype was created to present the result, and to validatethe functionality. Ergonomic evaluations and user tests were conducted on the prototype totest and validate it. Results showed that the new interior significantly improved several aspectand solved problems that the current forestry machine cab interior has, but further work isneeded to get it ready for production.
