Abstract [en]
This work describes the process of designing coherence among products and proposing a conceptual design of speakers for a gaming hardware company. It aims to elaborate a design guide that unifies the design language used throughout the brand to strengthen its recognition for the consumer and explore hardware possibilities through the design of gaming speakers. The Double Diamond Design Framework was the methodology followed to gather user needs, define the problem, and find a consequent solution that would align with Fractal’s values and design language. The results were a series of design guidelines that represented the brand’s values and the design of gaming speakers that applied those guidelines to fit the existing product lineup.
The report highlights the importance of semantics, psychology in design, and the use of a user-centered approach for designing products for people while highlighting the gaming industry and the niche in which the company works in.
