This research focuses on variables that affect consumer demands and satisfaction with
the last-mile delivery services in Jönköping, Sweden. Last-mile delivery is an
increasingly important aspect of the consumer experience, driven by the rapid growth
of e-commerce. The study identifies several key variables by demonstrating that
delivery time, delivery cost, flexibility, customer service quality, and environmental
impact are significant factors influencing consumer decision-making and satisfaction.
It also focuses on the mediating ability of perceived value in creating consumer
satisfaction as consumers evaluate delivery services in terms of functional, emotional,
and social determinants of the delivery services. A survey of 322 participants was used
to stimulate the collection of research data by means of a quantitative research design.
Correlation test indicated that there were strong positive correlations between the
delivery factors and satisfaction, mainly in the dimensions of delivery time, cost, and
customer service. Another fact highlighted in the study is the sustainability consumer
decisions grow more important. The research results can be of interest to the providers
of the delivery services, giving them practical suggestions, where they should focus to
improve the efficiency of the services, lower costs, increase flexibility, and adopt
sustainable operations. This study develops the literature on last-mile delivery,
particularly in smaller cities and provides guidelines for further research on consumer
behaviour in logistics and e-commerce
